The care guide

Keep it gorgeous between visits.

The same aftercare we walk you through at the chair, written down for the weeks after. Your color and your wallet will both thank you.

After color & balayage

Wait 48 hours before the first wash, then wash in cool water with a sulfate-free, color-safe shampoo — twice a week is plenty for most hair. Heat is the enemy of tone: rough-dry on low and always use a heat protectant. When blonde starts to warm up, that's not damage — it's time for a gloss ($55, 45 minutes) which revives everything between full appointments. Book one at week six and your balayage will comfortably go three months.

After keratin smoothing

For the first 72 hours: no washing, no ponytails, no tucking behind ears, no workouts that soak your roots — the treatment is still setting. After that, use sodium-chloride-free shampoo (regular shampoo strips keratin fast) and expect glassy, frizz-free hair for three to five months. Swimmers: rinse hair with fresh water before the pool and wear a cap when you can.

Living with extensions

Brush from the ends up with a loop brush twice a day, sleep in a loose braid (silk pillowcase if you have one), and keep conditioner off the wefts' attachment points. Fully dry the rows after washing — damp wefts are how slipping starts. Your move-up appointment lands every six to eight weeks; book the next one before you leave and you'll never hit the awkward gap.

Blonde week-by-week

Week 1: cool washes, purple shampoo once. Weeks 2–5: purple shampoo only when you see brass, a bond-builder mask weekly. Week 6: gloss appointment. Weeks 7–12: enjoy — you're in the lived-in zone this color was designed for. If it ever feels gummy when wet, stop heat styling and come see us; that's a protein/moisture imbalance we can fix.

The honest product shelf

You don't need ten products. Most guests need three: the right shampoo for their service, one leave-in with heat protection, and a weekly mask. We stock what we use at the chairs and will tell you plainly when the drugstore version is just as good.
